Myers House

214 East Water Street

Built circa 1780. This house is the oldest building in Washington. The Myers family were merchants and shipbuilders with a shipyard located adjacent to the house. The Myers house was owned by the Myers family for 150 years. This is one of the five verifiable Federal structures in town. Other examples include the Marsh House, Hyatt House, Isaiah Respess Office, and the Griffin House on Market Street.
