"Bananas" is the 5th piece in an ongoing series titled Stacked which started as rather light hearted and whimsical but has become more serious in the time of the pandemic. It is showing the futility of trying to make sense of the nonsensical.

This painting was done in response to the murder of George Floyd.
Spending so much time separated from others makes me feel like I've fallen down a rabbit hole in time. There seems to be no past and no future, there is only now. So whatever is happening in the world at the moment becomes of consuming importance and becomes the only possible subject to address.
