Pan Pastel on Paper. 2020
This work of art titled “Shield of Faith” emerges from my canon of creating ephemeral impressions of sustaining while vanishing. Working with sponges and pan pastels gave me the freedom to gently touch the pure white surface to leave a light residue of shimmering presence.
The moment captured is a self-portrait of my blind faith during uncertain times. The pandemic shrouded us with vacillating fear, but my spiritual faith veiled me with peace and quiet during the turbulent times. Being present with gratitude awaiting the aftermath of the storm.
